Marketing and Communications Position, Ottawa-Gatineau

Position Type: Full Time, Permanent

Marketing And Communication Responsibilities

  • Develop and monitor marketing plans and campaigns to raise awareness of the firm and services
  • Generate leads through digital marketing (potential clients and new team members)
  • Follow up on leads
  • Use the firm’s proposal templates to create personalized action plans for prospective clients
  • Negotiate engagements
  • Develop promotional materials for the firm as needed
  • Maintain and update the firm’s website using WordPress
  • Maintain and update the firm’s social media and online presence
  • Maintain and monitor the firm’s Google account, including but not limited to updating hours of operation and responding to positive and negative reviews
  • Create and monitor Google Ads
  • Use google Analytics to monitor ads and website activity
  • Produce and distribute content such as monthly newsletters, social media posts, blogs, advertisements, etc.
  • Provide Administrative support
  • Receive all in-bound calls, emails, and visitors
  • Prepare, review, and edit correspondence, forms, and other documents
  • Liaise with clients either in person, phone, written communication, etc.
  • Perform basic bookkeeping tasks such as preparing invoices and bank deposits

Other duties will be assigned as required

Education And Experience

  • 2 years of relevant experience or a diploma/degree with a marketing/communications focus (required) 
  • Experience with mass mailing software (required)
  • Experience with search engine optimization, WordPress, and Google Analytics (required)
  • Experience with social media posting and management (required)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (required)
  • Experience with tax and accounting software (asset)
  • Experience working in an accounting firm (asset)
  • Bilingual French and English (asset)
