Marketing and Communications Position, Ottawa-Gatineau
Hours: 35-44 / Week
Position Type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: $17 – $25 / hour
Salary is determined based on your skills and experience
Marketing And Communication Responsibilities
- Develop and monitor marketing plans and campaigns to raise awareness of the firm and services
- Generate leads through digital marketing (potential clients and new team members)
- Follow up on leads
- Use the firm’s proposal templates to create personalized action plans for prospective clients
- Negotiate engagements
- Develop promotional materials for the firm as needed
- Maintain and update the firm’s website using WordPress
- Maintain and update the firm’s social media and online presence
- Maintain and monitor the firm’s Google account, including but not limited to updating hours of operation and responding to positive and negative reviews
- Create and monitor Google Ads
- Use google Analytics to monitor ads and website activity
- Produce and distribute content such as monthly newsletters, social media posts, blogs, advertisements, etc.
- Provide Administrative support
- Receive all in-bound calls, emails, and visitors
- Prepare, review, and edit correspondence, forms, and other documents
- Liaise with clients either in person, phone, written communication, etc.
- Perform basic bookkeeping tasks such as preparing invoices and bank deposits
Other duties will be assigned as required
Education And Experience
- 2 years of relevant experience or a diploma/degree with a marketing/communications focus (required)
- Experience with mass mailing software (required)
- Experience with search engine optimization, WordPress, and Google Analytics (required)
- Experience with social media posting and management (required)
- Experience with Microsoft Office (required)
- Experience with tax and accounting software (asset)
- Experience working in an accounting firm (asset)
- Bilingual French and English (asset)
